Visual Arts – Term 3 Outline
Grade Prep – Children will be:
• Looking at pattering
• Working with colour and lines in abstract style.
• Understanding of pop art.
• Making finger puppets for a book cover.
Grade 1 and 2 – Children will be:
• Puppet construction using paper plates, cups and tubes.
• Understanding of pop art.
• Looking at repetition of visual patterns.
• Ink blowing.
Grade 3 and 4 – Children will be:
• Drawing – dinosaurs and Snoopy.
• Painting using perspective.
• Creation of pop art.
• Flip books.
Grade 5 and 6 – Children will be:
• Reviewing a variety of Asian Masks. Looking at the history of the mask in Asian traditions.
• Planning and creating an Asian inspired Paper Mache mask.
• Looking at the history of the Japanese Flying Fish Kite. Creating a Japanese Flying Fish Kite.
